ITC-ILO High-Level Tripartite Dialogue

1.-3. juulil 2008 Torinos, Itaalias

On 1-3 July 2008, the International Training Centre of the ILO in Turin will host a High-Level Tripartite Dialogue focusing on the future of the labour and employment dimensions of the European Social Model in the context of globalisation. The event is supported by the European Community. The proposed High-Level Dialogue will focus the attention of the tripartite partners (and ILO constituents) at the highest levels on the strategies to adjust to today’s rapidly changing economic environment. It is designed as an opportunity for learning and exchange between participants and includes dynamic discussions and group sessions. A copy of the provisional programme for this event is here >>

BUSINESSEUROPE/UEAPME and CEEP have been invited to nominate one employers’ organisation representative to attend from each of the following 17 Member States: Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom.

Following consultation with the other employers’ organisations, BUSINESSEUROPE can nominate 8 or 9 representatives.

Please bear in mind that candidates should come from one of the above-mentioned countries. In addition, it is desirable that the participants have a good understanding of the issues being discussed (i.e. Lisbon Agenda and globalisation) so as to contribute to this learning exercise.  The ITC-ILO will pay participants’ travel and hotel expenses and will contact these individuals directly to make all the necessary travel and administrative arrangements.
