The European Commission will organise on 27 November 2006 (9h30-18h) in Brussels at Centre Borschette (Room 0D- rue Froissart, 36- 1040 Brussels) a seminar on
transnational collective bargaining
The aim of this seminar is to discuss the results of an enquiry done by the Commission on practices in 27 companies regarding transnational collective bargaining. You have been regularly informed on this Commission initiative since the first seminar organised in May 2006.
Please take a look at the draft agenda for the meeting. The meeting is structured around the four themes of the Commission enquiry. A presentation will be made by the Commission of the answers collected from companies (management and employee representatives). Participants will then be invited to react.
The last session of the day will entail a discussion on the future of the Commission initiative in the field of transnational collective bargaining.
The employer’s delegation will comprise 25 persons: 20 for UNICE, 3 for CEEP, 2 for UEAPME. In addition, 5 company representatives may be invited i.e. 3 to be proposed by UNICE, 1 by CEEP and 1 by UEAPME.
