seminar Luksemburgis: Protection of Individual Rights in Criminal Matters

10.02.2005

The European Centre for Judges and Lawyers, the Luxembourg Antenna of the European Institute of Public Administration, is organizing a seminar on 10 & 11 February 2005:

Protection of Individual Rights in Criminal Matters

The seminar will take a practical approach, looking to issues likely to impact individual rights: e.g. - establishing jurisdiction in order to avoid an individual facing trial in more than one location, individual versus societal considerations with respect to the handling of evidence and freezing of assets as well as with respect to the exchange and protection of information, enforcement of judgements and penalties cross-border, etc.  These issues will be considered in a forum allowing for an active exchange of ideas and experiences by the speakers as well as participants.

The seminar is aimed at judges, lawyers, national and international civil servants, academics, experts and others working or interested in this area.
The registration fee amounts to 650 Euro including documentation, beverages, 2 lunches and a dinner.
Further information about the seminar's programme, the registration form or hotels in Luxembourg are available under http://www.eipa.nl/activities/05/53701_10Feb/en/invitation.htm
