At today’s round of negotiations between the Estonian Employers’ Confederation (ETTK) and the delegation from the Confederation of Trade Unions (EAKL), employers proposed to fix next year’s monthly minimum wage for a full-time work at 3,600 kroons (€230). The minimum wage of 2006 is 3,000 kroons (€192).
“A 20%-increase of the minimum wage is a very good offer and employers are not prepared to go any higher,” commented Chairman of the ETTK, Tarmo Kriis.
The ETTK proposes to sign the minimum wage agreement without any delay, before Christmas.
